About Arrive Alive

The National Drug Council’s Purple Ribbon Pledge (PRP) encourages drivers across the Cayman Islands to make a commitment not to drink and drive. Throughout the holiday season, drivers are encouraged to take the pledge and help promote safer roads for everyone.

Running alongside the Purple Ribbon Pledge is the Designated Driver (DD) Campaign. Together, these initiatives form #ArriveAlive345, a community-wide effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving while encouraging responsible decisions during the festive season.

The 2026–2027 Arrive Alive 345 campaign officially launches on Monday, 2 November 2026, and continues through 1 January 2027.

The Purple Ribbon Pledge encourages motorists to demonstrate their commitment to staying sober behind the wheel, while the Designated Driver Campaign reminds partygoers to plan ahead with the message: “Designate before you Celebrate.”

New Year’s Eve Purple Ribbon Bus

To help everyone get home safely, the New Year’s Eve Purple Ribbon Bus will operate on Thursday, 31 December 2026, offering FREE transportation on both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.

This annual initiative provides residents and visitors with a safe and convenient way to celebrate the New Year without getting behind the wheel after drinking.

Buses will operate on both islands, with routes, operating hours and pickup locations to be announced closer to New Year’s Eve.

This important community service is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors and partners.
