About Arrive Alive
Compass Media’s Purple Ribbon Pledge (PRP) encourages drivers to take the pledge not to drink and drive. Throughout the holiday season, drivers can sign the Pledge at various locations across the Cayman Islands. Running alongside PRP is the Designated Driver (DD) Campaign.
Together, these initiatives form #ArriveAlive345, a combined effort to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving while promoting safety within the Cayman community.
The 2025–2026 campaign launches on 6 October 2025 and runs through 31 December 2025. The Purple Ribbon Pledge campaign officially kicks off on 15 November 2025 and continues through 1 January 2026.
The Purple Ribbon Pledge encourages drivers to demonstrate their commitment to staying sober behind the wheel over the holiday season. The Designated Driver Programme takes an educational approach, reminding partygoers to plan ahead with the message: “Designate before you Celebrate.”
To help everyone get home safely, the New Year’s Eve Purple Ribbon Bus will operate on 31 December 2025, offering FREE rides to residents and visitors:
-
Grand Cayman: 9:00pm – 5:00am
-
Cayman Brac: 9:00pm – 2:00am
This year, five additional bus routes have been added, extending service into more residential areas and helping passengers get home closer to their doors. Buses will serve all districts on Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.
A Luxury Limo Bus will also be in operation, stopping at major hotels along Seven Mile Beach for added convenience.
How to ride: wait outside any major restaurant, bar, or bus stop along the route; look for a bus with purple flashing lights and reflective signage; confirm it’s heading your way — then hop on board!
This community service is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors.
